Find keywords using Google Keywords tools
Keyword research is the main and important factor for SEO if you talk about local searches. You have to do is to find keywords for your website related services with the Google Keyword research tool or you can say Google Keyword planner.
For local search you have to choose the country you want to target and write the main service of your business for example if you are running a marketing firm to you can write here “marketing firm” to get the list of related keywords.
Once you did this you can see the list of keywords appears in the search bar with the monthly searches, competition and bidding. I suggest you to choose keywords having highest bidding prices. It is a fact that the keyword with highest prices is more effective for lead generation as compare to the lower ones. Don’t go for the competition, it is only for PPC marketing not for SEO.
Choose your top competitors using search results
It is also main factor to see what your competitor is doing and how he is ranked in search engine rankings. To find your competitor, first you have to open Google search engine of local search of your market. For e.g if your market is Dubai you have to write https://google.ae to find local searches.
In the second step you have to insert keywords one by one and choose the first 5 website of the 1 page of the Google. Use all your keywords one by one to get the complete list of the competitor website.
You have to check their website Meta title and description, heading, content, pages, pricing and packages and social presence to make your website SEO in correct path.
Creating Meta for Website
Meta title and description is very important factor for SEO. It is actually the medium between search engine and website. You have to start you title with your main keyword and complete it within 50 – 60 characters it is necessary to include all you keywords in the given number of characters but it should be noted that title is not over optimize. Use 1 or 2 main keywords which are higher in traffic and also having high bidding cost.
In the description define your keyword and your service within 160 characters, it should be noted that the description is not copied from the title or any other source. Here you have to use the long tail keyword in the end of the description. Don’t use the same keyword in the description but you can use long tail keywords.
Optimizing Heading in website content
Heading are shown as H1, H2 and H3 tags in the content management system to make on page optimization search engine friendly. To optimize a heading for search engine optimization is so easy you have to write a heading and use the two or three phrases keyword in it which is different from the keyword used in title and description of the website.
You can place h1 tag and write paragraph just below the heading to describe and make it search engine friendly in the same manner you can place h2 and h3 tags with different keywords.
Use of keywords in text content
The text content must be written for the user not for the search engine. It means that you have to write content as you read on magazine as it is more reader friendly. Don’t focus on keyword while writing text content.
Mapping in Google Business
You have to submit your business along with the address to Google using My Business profile. To get your profile visible in search engine you have to put your address and Google will send you a post card along with the code written on it. You have to write the code as printed on post card in your profile and Google confirms the verification. When someone finds for the local services you website profile will be shown in the map section of the search engine results. It also helps you website to rank higher in the search engine.
